Pat Thomas is one of the preeminent improvisers currently working in the realms of jazz and new music.
Over the course of his career, Pat has collaborated with a wide range of luminaries, from Mike Cooper, Derek Bailey, Tony Oxley, and Evan Parker, to more recent avant-figureheads such as Moor Mother, Matana Roberts, and Wadada Leo Smith.
As well as his ongoing solo practice, his current group projects include أحمد [ahmed] (with Seymour Wright, Antonin Gerbal, and Joel Grip), Black Top (with Orphy Robinson), and duos with Mariam Rezaei, Mark Fell, and Tyshawn Sorey.
